Written for my good friend Eli Denecke, this work takes place over 3 sections. The first is meditative and reflective, as through preparing for prayer, and evokes some Bach and traditional winter hymns. The second is frustrated, alone, and angry as though abandoned. The third is resigned and wistful yet patient.
